Author Interview With Gracen Miller

1. What is your favorite character in your book and why is it your favorite?
GRACEN: Micah only because I can take him as dark as I want. It’s as exciting as I imagine it would be to have no restraint in the book store. ;-)

2. What would you have done differently if you was the main character of your book?
GRACEN: Killed Micah.

3. Do you ever have dreams about any of your characters?

GRACEN: I have dreams that spawn stories, but I’ve never dreamed about my characters after I’ve started writing them.

4. What’s your wildest thoughts when writing this book?

GRACEN: The entire book is wild! LOL I guess my wildest thought was when I realized I had begun to look at the characters—and my Muse, Dom—as if they are real!

5. If things that have happened in your book happened to you what would you have done?

GRACEN: Gone crazy! lol If demons and other supernatural creatures were suddenly gunning for me, I’d probably want to crawl in a hole and die.

6. Did you have any kinky thoughts while writing?

GRACEN: All the time! It’s what makes writing erotica so much fun.

7. If one of your characters showed up at your door one morning what would have been your first thoughts/words to him/her?

GRACEN: Depends on the character. If it was Madison, I’d want to make sure she wasn’t leading trouble to my doorstep. If it was Nix, I’d swear he had the right house and beg him for his paranormal help…even if I didn’t need it! Haha. If it was Micah, I’d probably sell him my soul because he’s that charismatic. If it was Zen…I’d be dead before the first word exited my lungs. ;-)

8. When writing is there anything weird you do to help you write better?
GRACEN: When I’m in the “writing zone”, I will go into a trance-like state and write for hours non-stop. I can only do this when I’m alone and without any distractions. If I’m interrupted, I cannot go back into the zone. It’s kind of like a self-hypnosis state.

9. Do cry when writing sad scenes?
GRACEN: Nope.

10. How hard do you laugh when writing a funny scene?
GRACEN: I don’t write funny scenes. I wish I had the sense of humor to do it, but sadly, I don’t.

11. Any family member’s actions or descriptions ever used in any of your writings?

GRACEN: I use my kids’s actions when I’m writing Amos. And Madison’s father, Bruce, was lightly modeled after my own father…his verbal abuse and the fact that he and my father are both Baptist preachers. My father and I have a very volatile relationship and I’ve not spoken to him in 2 years. It has been the best two years of my life. Otherwise, I never write about real people.

Thanks for having my gang with you today, Lindsey!

Huggles,

Gracen

Where you can stalk me—not really!—but I would love to meet and interact with you:

Pandora’s Box Blurb (book 1):

Where does the road to Hell begin?

What happens when your son turns homicidal overnight and your husband disappears on his way to work? Do you cower in fear or fight for your life? Madison Wescott fights against the odds. Distrustful of a God she doesn't believe in, she finds herself face-to-face with a world she didn't know existed and discovers her own soul is darkened with demonic connections.

With good intentions? Or by demonic design?

Phoenix Birmingham bursts into Madison’s life in a whirlwind of sarcasm and sexual appeal. A hero for the masses—and for her jaded heart—but few will ever know the sacrifices he has made or the sacrifices to come. Discovering her entire life has been influenced by multifaceted paranormal beings, Madison is determined to defeat the apocalyptic blueprint fate has decreed, but only one man dares to challenge the supernatural forces manipulating them. Even with Phoenix's aid, can destiny be denied? Or will demonic design prevail while they pay the crucial price with their souls?

In a small, sleepy Alabama town the battle for mankind's liberty has begun...

Hell’s Phoenix Blurb (book 2):

Hell’s become more than just a playground for the wicked…

Going to Hell was supposed to save Madison, but knowing she’s dead because of his failure leaves Nix with only one thing to live for. Revenge. With Micah’s help he learns to use his Messianic power. Anything for Mads has become his mantra, even if it means killing innocents to gather the power he needs to succeed. A tsunami he unleashes on a Gulf Coast city is stopped with magical interference, and Nix is more than surprised to feel Madison in the opposing magic. Can he and Micah set a trap to lure her out?

Pandora’s Box…once you open it, there’s no turning back!

Madison has done the unthinkable, opened Pandora’s Box to save Nix from Hell. And failed. She’s willing to risk her own life to rescue Nix, but she worries about the welfare of her accomplice in the mission and leaving her son behind. Following up on a lead, she’s ambushed by Nix and Micah. Shocked and hurt to discover Nix has become a willing participant of Hell, she’s more certain than ever she won’t escape the demonic fate her husband outlined for her. While in Hell, she discovers denying the emergence of her succubus is futile, which means getting Nix out of Hell after embracing her inner demon just became a very real dilemma…
